Remarks	309 putative R-genes were mapped on a collection of 339 wheat deletion lines. Putative R-gene sequences from wheat were collected two ways. Known plant R-genes were used as query sequences to BLAST the wheat EST sequence collection. Clones were obtained and cDNA inserts were amplified by PCR. These loci are named by their GenBank accession numbers. Other putative R-genes were generated by a modified RNA fingerprinting method using PCR primers based on conserved R-gene motifs. These probes were given the lab designator UNL.
