| The 2004 OWB map is an update of the 'Barley, OWB'(http://www.barleyworld.org, posting date July 24, 2002). Forty seven newly-scored RFLP loci (A. Kleinhofs, Washington State University, Pullman,Wash.) were added to the 2002 OWB map to align the OWB map with the virtual bin map. This version contains the DsT loci. The markers are genomic sequences mapped in the OWB mapping population, which correspond to genomic DNA sequences flanking Ds insertion sites in Golden Promise. |
| Ds and AcTPase constructs were transformed into the barley cultivar Golden Promise by particle bombardment and crosses were performed. A number of new lines from these crosses were identified which contained transposed, single-copy, Ds insertions. The genomic DNA flanking the Ds insertion in these lines was sequenced and the corresponding sequence was then mapped using the OWB mapping population. |
