| More than 400 markers have been mapped in Steptoe x Morex. A subset of these markers has been used to construct a "base map": a stable, well characterized map that can be used for QTL mapping etc.. Markers that were not included in this base map generally cosegregated, or were closely linked to markers on the base map. This map will be updated with additional markers continually, at World Wide Web site http://gnome.agrenv.mcgill.ca/maps. This GrainGenes version was downloaded from that site May 1996.
