Winter wheat mitochondria (0.25 mg/ml) were suspended in a reaction medium and swelling was initiated by FFA addition. The difference in optical density was calculated by the formula: dOD = (OD_t0 ­ OD_t1), where OD_t0 = initial optical density and OD_t1 = optical density after given time of incubation.
