The International Agro-biotechnology Conference will be held in Heilongjiang, China on September 6- 10th. You are cordially invited to attend this conference. The International Agro-Biotechnology Conference will be jointly sponsored by Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, England Royal Agricultural College, Chinese Bio-engineering Society, and Wenhui Newspaper of Hongkong.
Worldwide eminent experts will be invited for plenary speakers. The goal of this conference is to enhance agricultural biotechnology and its future development, and establish widely co-operation and exchange information on agricultural biotechnology. The conference includes invited presentations, group presentations and bio-technology exhibition.
Subjects being included:
1. Bio-technology and its application in plants.
2. Bio-technology and its application in animals.
3. Bio-technology and its application in microbe.
4. Bio-safety evaluation of transgenic plants and animals.
5. Trend of agro-biotechnology and its industrialization
Date: Sept. 6 - 10th, 2005.
Place: International Exhibition Center, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China.
Participants wishing to present an oral presentation or a poster are invited to submit paper in English that should be an unpublished research report or review and within the above fields. The papers or abstracts will be published in “Journal of Chinese Biological Engineering” as special issue. The deadline for submitting abstract and paper is July 15, 2005. The format for submitting can be found at www.iac2005.haas.cn, and preferably submitted by email to haas2005@vip.163.com or haas2005@126.com.
All participants including invited speakers must register. The registration form is enclosed and can also be downloaded from the conference website at www.iac2005.haas.cn. Registration fees are US$ 380 per participant. It covers conference program, publications, meals, coffee breaks and transportation from airport or train station to hotel after arrival and from hotel to airport when departure in Harbin.

The sightseeing will be arranged for 9-10th. The sightseeing includes the following three sites
Cultural visiting and academic tour: National Garden of Agricultural Science and Technology; Guogeli Street and the Sun Island.
Ecological tour: Xingkai Lake and Jingbo Lake for choosing.
Russian border tour: Vladevostok, far-east of Russia (five days) (Visa may be required for visiting Russia, please check with Russian Embassy in your Country).
