| The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service
(ARS), Plant Science and Entomology Research Unit, Manhattan, KS is seeking a
permanent full-time BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (GS-5/6/7) to:
(1) provide technical support for research on molecular mapping and
marker-assisted selection for important wheat genes
(2) genotyping breeding materials and mapping populations with various molecular markers in wheat (3) high-throughput DNA isolation, PCR analysis using an automated DNA sequencer and other genomics techniques (4) caring for plants in greenhouse and growth chamber, routine lab maintenance, and providing assistance to other lab projects.
