| In the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran
(ABRII) in Karaj, Iran is a postdoctoral position in gene
transformation in plants available. The position is initially available
for two years with an opportunity to lead to a career path position for
an outstanding scientist. The position will be based at the
Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran at the Seed and
Plant Improvement Campus located 35 km west of Teheran, Iran.
We are seeking for a candidate with the following
qualifications: - PhD degree in gene
transformation
- Familiarity with molecular analyses of transgenic plants - Interest in international agricultural research and development - Proficiency in spoken and written English language Experience in risk assessment of transgenic food would be advantageous. ABRII is the most advanced agricultural biotechnology research institute of Iran with an excellent scientific staff and modern advanced research facilities. The institute has more than 100 research staffs with PhD, MSc and BSc degrees. In addition, ABRII enjoys several modern and well-equipped research facilities, phytotrons and laboratories for carrying research in genomics, plant physiology, proteomics, haploid breeding, microbiology, tissue culture and genetic engineering.
