The Bioinformatics group at SCRI has the following position available:

A third position, part of the EU FP VI BIOEXPLOIT project is available for up to 12 months only

GENOTYPE DATABASE DEVELOPER (REF CB/3) Salary 22,351 - 25,767 plus benefits

The post is to undertake further development of the GERMINATE database jointly developed by the University of Dundee and SCRI to enable it to act as a primary repository for information utilized by partners in the EU BIOEXPLOIT project. The post requires skills in POSTGRESQL or comparable RDMS together with a working knowledge of Perl and/or Java. The successful candidate will also require a good understanding of plant genetics and molecular biology in a genetic resources context.
