International Rice Research Institute Plant breeders for studying drought stress and coordinating INGER The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), based in the Philippines, is seeking two plant breeders, one to focus on breeding for water-limited environments, including drought-prone lowlands, favorable uplands, and irrigated aerobic systems, and the other to coordinate the International Network for the Genetic Evaluation of Rice (INGER) and develop a breeding program for traits emerging from IRRI’s new strategic plan. Both positions have an initial appointment of 3 years and are renewable for subsequent multi-year contracts. Candidates should have a PhD in plant breeding, genetics, or an allied discipline with at least 5 years of experience in plant breeding or genetics.
