| Position Announcement Post Doctoral Researcher for Chloridoid Genomics PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project, entitled "Genetic improvement, technology dissemination and seed system development in African Chloridoid cereals," is funded by The McKnight Foundation as part of the Collaborative Crop Research Program. The genomics research relating to tef improvement will be conducted at Cornell University in the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics. More information is available at: http://mcknight.ccrp.cornell.edu/ccrpE/projects/tef/ethiopia_tef.html JOB DESCRIPTION: A postdoctoral position with responsibility for Chloridoid genomics is available in the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics at Cornell University. The position is a twelve month, full time position that is annually renewable for up to four years. The successful candidate will lead research on the genomics aspects of Eragrostis tef, an important staple food crop in Ethiopia. Responsibilities include but are not limited to fingerprinting, QTL mapping, comparative genome analysis, association analysis, and marker assisted selection. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in plant breeding and/or genetics with molecular genetics experience. Candidate must have experience in genetics, comparative genomics, statistical methods, and ability to communicate and publish articles in international journals. To apply, write to Mark E.
