Job Description
The Wheat Genetic and Genomic Resources Center of Kansas State University at Manhattan KS (www.k-state.edu/wgrc) invites applications for a molecular biology laboratory research assistant to study the lignin genetic pathway of wheat by VIGS. This is a full-time, term position with benefits and will be renewable upon satisfactory progress and continued funding. The individual will assist in molecular biological techniques such as DNA and RNA extraction, PCR and RT-PCR amplification, in vitro transcription, and inoculation of wheat plants in green house.

Job Requirements
Position requires a B.S. degree in biology or a related major. One- or two-year experience working with RNA is an asset. The position is available starting September 1, and applications will be accepted until a candidate is hired.
