ROLE PURPOSE
Identify Tomato varieties with downstream value potential and lead all development activities required to ensure that these products can be grown (cost)efficiently and will preserve their full quality potential from farm to retail shelf. Utilize learnings and experience and apply them to other initiatives within the same or other crops.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Identify new Tomato varieties with downstream value potential (Dulcinea Farms or Key Account approach)
· Lead all activities to develop and test these Tomato varieties in the most appropriate and efficient manner, effectively leveraging all suitable/available internal and external resources needed to accomplish this.
· Work closely together with Dulcinea Farms’ downstream produce marketing teams to ensure and coordinate necessary retail and consumer acceptance testing of such new products.
· Actively support key produce marketing tasks like the positioning of new products in close cooperation/coordination with the downstream produce marketing team (Dulcinea Farms)
· Develop a business case to support allocation of a new product to any proposed GTM model
· Accountable to achieve the defined and validated project goals and up grade consumer and retail knowledge and skills of in fresh produce.
· Maintain at all times a close contact/communication/involvement with the respective PBM

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Critical Knowledge:

· Bachelor degree (H.B.O.) Marketing
· Experience in the Tomato production and trade in the USA
· Demonstrated marketing knowledge with branded, high value consumer products (i.e. successful experience in defining the offer branding, and promotional plans and opportunities.)

Critical Skills:

· Demonstrated ability to lead projects in matrix organization
· Demonstrated ability to successfully execute operational plans.
· Project Management skills (multi country / matrix)
· Well developed communication and presentation skills
· Able to work independently and in team setting
· Creative, initiative, decisiveness
· Ability to influence people
· Good business sense

Critical Experience:

· Five (5) years experience in Tomato production and/or trade in the USA
· Experience in Retail Management / Retail Trading / Retail Communications
· Three (3) years experience in managing cross functional teams.

Additional Information
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS AND KEY CHALLENGES

Ensures there is an effective relationship and business coordination between Rogers and Dulcinea Farms and other downstream initiatives related to downstream New Product Development.

Leads the implementation of the Produce Marketing concept with selected production and logistic partners (Grower Club), starting with Rosso Bruno. Specifically, creating business and supporting the realization of revenue or other KPI targets.
