University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is in the process of expanding their efforts in molecular biosciences. The Department of Agronomy and Horticulture invites applications for 9-month, tenure-leading, 80% research /20% teaching, Assistant Professor positions in (1) Plant Molecular Physiology and (2) Horticultural Molecular Genetics.  
 
The Plant Molecular Physiologist position (requisition #080112) will develop an internationally-recognized, competitively-funded research program in molecular physiology to elucidate the nature of responses and adaptation to environmental stress and teach a course in plant physiology.  
 
The Horticultural Molecular Geneticist position (requisition #080117) will be expected to identify/understand key genes underlying mechanisms regulating quantitative traits influencing nutritional value and taste in fruits, vegetables, and grains, and to teach a course in plant genetics or horticulture.
