3 Post doc positions within molecular breeding

KU-LIFE, Department of Agricultural Sciences wishes to appoint the following positions:

1 post doc within molecular breeding of crops for biofuels from June 1st 2008 to May 31st, 2010 with option of 1-year prolongation.

Duties will include research within molecular breeding of biofuel crops. The appointee should have qualifications within the following areas:

* Plant molecular biology and genetics
* Molecular markers in cereals and grasses
* Bioinformatics on biosynthetic pathways
* Analysis of quality traits (NIR, HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS)
* Pre-breeding experience

1 post doc in plant nutrition from June 1st 2008 to September 30th 2010 with option of prolongation.

Duties will include research on genetic improvement of nitrogen use efficiency in cereals. The appointee should have qualifications within the following areas:

* Plant nutritional physiology
* Plant molecular biology/genetics
* Metabolite profiling
* Plant growth methods and tools

1 post doc within molecular breeding of barley from June 1st 2008 to May 31st, 2011.

Duties will include research within molecular breeding and quality improvement. The appointee should have qualifications within the following areas:

* Plant molecular biochemistry
* Plant genetics and molecular markers in cereals
* High-throughput DNA sequence analysis
* Quality trait analysis (NIR, HPLC)

Employment and remuneration will be according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
