A group leader position in biochemistry, molecular biology, and plant sciences is available at the French agronomical research institute (INRA) for the management of the research group working on fungicides (modes of action, resistance mechanisms) at the research center of Versailles-Grignon in the BIOGER-CPP Institute dedicated to fungal plant pathogens. The group leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team studying the mode of action of fungicides and the mechanisms of resistance to fungicides. He/She should coordinate research projects on these topics from the biochemical and molecular point of view to the population level. He/She needs to have strong background in the fields of fungicide/target interactions, transport and metabolisation, but also in field monitoring and fungicide resistance management. Within the BIOGER-CPP Institute, these research projects will benefit from the development of functional genomics on different fungal species in other teams and from the activities of the fungal population genetics team. Further information can be found under the link indicated below. The application must be submitted before the 6th of May 2008. http://www.inra.fr/../dr2_ecologie_sciences_de_l_environnement_biochimie_sciences_des_vegetaux
