Graduate Assistantship

Position Description:
A Graduate Research Assistantship is available to conduct research on plant genetics and genomics. The candidate will have opportunities to conduct research in genomic mapping, breeding methods, quantitative genetics, association mapping, and genomic-assisted breeding. A combination of field-, lab-, and computer-based experiences will be encouraged.

Qualifications:
B.S./M.S. degree in plant breeding, genetics, biology, or related discipline. Demonstrated excellence in course work, good written and oral communication skills and the ability to work as a team member required.

Stipend and Fees:
Annual stipend is $21,964 for M.S. and $23,972 for Ph.D. Graduate assistants are considered Kansas residents and annual tuition and fees range from $2500 to $3500 depending on total credit hours.
