„APPLICATIONS OF MOLECULAR MARKERS IN STUDIES ON PLANTS”

BOTANICAL GARDEN – CENTER FOR BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION OF THE POLISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCE

PROGRAMME

The workshop will be performed in English and will consist of the following sessions:

1. Development of new molecular methods based on DNA/RNA markers

2. Application of molecular markers in:

a) Plant genetics (including genome mapping)

b) Breeding programmes with emphasis on marker assisted selection

c) Biotechnology of plants

d) Taxonomic and evolutionary studies of plants

The workshop will take place in Warsaw (Konstancin-Jeziorna) on September 25-29, 2002.
