Instructions
Query Contigs.
The following features are available on this page:
- Perform string or exact match searches
This is controlled by the Query Type selection
- Search for Contigs based on Contig Name, EST Member Name, or EST Member GenBank accession
This is controlled by the Query Target selection
- Select a specific Contig from a drop-down menu of Contigs matching the query
- The following information about the contig is displayed:
- Assembly Date and Method used (including program parameters if available)
- Number of EST members
- Best BLASTN and BLASTX Hits including Accession, Score, E-value, and Description
* Hit Accessions are provided as links to the relevant NCBI queries
- Link to download the contig consensus sequence in FASTA format
- Links to the GrainGenes-Classic graphic and text displays
- Textual representation of the contig assembly showing the position and orientation of each EST member in the contig
* EST member accessions are provided as links to all relevant information for the EST
* EST links are provided as single letter codes (see legend) which take you to specific information about the EST
* If searching by EST, member accessions matching the query string will appear in bold
* Textual representation contig members are color coded (see legend) for Deletion Mapping Probes and Mapped Probes
- A table of the cDNA library distribution for the EST members including Library Name, Number of EST members from the Library, and Library description
* Library names are provided as links to view Library information
