Instructions
Query BLASTN and BLASTX results for ESTs.
The following features are available on this page:
- Search for ESTs that contain keywords of your choosing in their BLAST hit descriptions
- Search for EST BLAST results by EST Name or GenBank accession number
- Restrict the search results based on the following:
- Best hit or Top 10 hits
- BLASTN or BLASTX
- BLAST E-value cutoff
- ESTs from particular libraries
- ESTs that are members of contigs
- ESTs designated as deletion mapping probes
- EST probes that have been deletion mapped
- NEW When restricting search results to ESTs that are mapped probes, a 21-chromosome graphic is presented, which indicates the chromosome arms to which the resulting ESTs have been mapped. Clicking a tagged chromosome arm takes you to a list of mapped loci for that chromosome arm and BLAST results query
- Search results include the EST Name, the EST GenBank Accession number, the Hit Accession number, the Hit Score, the Hit E-value, and the full Hit Description.
- EST Names are provided as links to all relevant information for a particular EST
- An EST links column provides links consisting of single letter codes (see legend) which take you to specific EST information
- GenBank Accession numbers are provided as links to the relevant NCBI queries
- Download search results as text
- Download a FASTA sequence file for the resulting ESTs
