We are inviting applications to fill a postdoc research associate (PRA) and a graduate research assistant (GRA) position available in Seed Molecular Biology Lab at South Dakota State University (SDSU).
The incumbents will join the lab as team members to work on grant-funded projects to characterize natural genes controlling seed dormancy and its interrelated traits in model systems developed from weedy rice. Applicants for the PRA position must hold a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology, genetics, or related areas, and have demonstrated research experience in molecular biology to work on DNA-protein or protein-protein interactions or on CRISPR/Cas9-mediated mutagenesis or gene drive.
Applicants for the GRA position must hold a Master-of- Science degree in the above-stated areas, and have research experience in protein kinase assay, high-throughput genotyping, transcriptomic analysis, or epigenetics.
