The USDA’s Agricultural Research Service in Brookings, SD seeks a full time Biological Science Technician to provide scientific support in agronomy and plant ecology. The technician will contribute to the selection and management of regionally adapted small grains varieties, and the quantification of benefits from re-integrating small grains and other crops into regional systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong field or greenhouse research experience, as well as have or be willing to learn remote and proximal sensing systems, GIS software, basic computer programming, or the operation of modern farming equipment.
