Postdoctoral Fellow in Wheat Quantitative Genetics and Breeding at Colorado State University

The Wheat Breeding Program at Colorado State University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to contribute to our mission of variety development and applied-basic research to improve the understanding of genetic and environmental factors that affect wheat yield and end-use quality. The postdoctoral fellow will utilize the wealth of genomic, phenomic, and environmental data currently available in the program to develop breeding strategies that increase efficiency and maximize genetic gain. Target traits/areas include but are not limited to selection/genomic selection for grain yield, baking and milling quality, pest resistance, and plant adaptation to current and future climate scenarios and production systems.

Candidates with a background in computer science, statistics, modeling, and/or experience in big data and simulated data analysis are encouraged to apply. To learn more about the CSU Wheat Breeding Program see: https://wheat.agsci.colostate.edu
