Comment
A photoperiod response gene that affected flowering time under short days (10h light), but had little effect under longer daylengths (13 or 16h). In a glasshouse experiment, the effect was somewhat greater on vernalized plants compared to unvernalized plants. In field experiments of the doubled haploid population, the gene had a significant effect on autumn-sown but not on spring-sown plants (1).
