Remarks
93 recombinant inbred lines were analyzed for thousand-kernel weight, tests weight, protein content, gluten strength, semolina and pasta color, lipoxygenase activity, pasta firmness, cooking loss and other pasta quality traits in five different environments. UC1113 is a high-yielding line with intermediate pasta quality parameters. Kofa is a high quality durum with excellent color (score 10), very low lipoxygenase activity, high protein and very strong gluten. The map was constructed using Mapmaker version3.0b and QTLs were mapped with QTL Cartographer version2.5. A LOD threshold larger than 2.5 was considered significant.
