Ma XF et al. (2001) Molecular linkage mapping in rye (Secale cereale L.) Theoretical and Applied Genetics 102:517-523.
Mapping population was 110 F3 families from a cross of the dwarf rye UC90 and the Spanish accession E-line, both of which had been inbred more than seven generations. Each family comprised at least 16 F3 plants, bulked to regenerate the F2 genotype.
Maps were constructed from dominant and co-dominant markers using JoinMap version 2.0 with a LOD score of 3.0. Additional markers were included one by one if they did not change the order of the core markers or significantly increase the length of the map.
Total map length 730 cM. The 184 markers include 60 that have been mapped in other rye populations.
