Data presented here was part of a study to saturate the map of a 'gene-rich' recombination hot spot', revealed by physical mapping of 36 deletion lines of the long arms of chromosome group 5 from Chinese Spring. In this study, genetic mapping was done on a region on 5BL showing a high degree of gene density and recombination frequency on a population of 117 recombinant substitution lines (RSL). MAPMAKER V2.0 was used with an LOD of 3.00 to calculate genetic distances.
2 loci, XksuQ11 and Xabc155 mapped with an LOD < 3.00 and are placed in the 'most-likely interval'. Loci Xcdo400 and Xbcd183 showed skewed segregation ratios.
