Gene
GAMyb (Hordeum)
Full Name
GA-induced Myb
Gene Class
DNA-binding protein
Locus
Myb
Reference
ReferenceGubler F et al. (1995) Gibberellin regulated expression of a myb gene in barley aleurone cells: evidence for Myb transactivation of a high pI alpha amylase gene promoter Plant Cell 7:1879-1891.
Chromosome
3H
Chromosome Arm
3HL
Comment
After 12h, GAMyb mRNA levels in barley aleurone layers treated with GA`3` were 5X those of controls. GAMyb was shown to bind to the alpha-amylase gene promoter, and could act as the sole GA-regulated transcription factor required for transcriptional activation of that promoter.
Clone
