IV. 1. Overall coordinator's report.

The revised list of coordinators was published in BGN 12:84-86. In the "Report from the meeting of coordinators for genetic/linkage studies and genetic stocks" (BGN 12:98-99), it was indicated that several items should be handled by this coordinator in collaboration with some barley geneticists.

1. Tsuchiya contacted R. Walfe and H. Doll regarding the responsibility as coordinator for "chromosome 2" and "Lysine and hordein genes," respectively. Each one agreed to serve as a coordinator.

2. Replacements for coordinators for chromosome 6 (K. J. Kasha) and chromosome 7 (G. Fedak) have not yet been assigned.

3. Neither a coordinator's report nor replacement for "Inversion" stocks was submitted. Therefore, R. A. Nilan assumes responsibility for this stock.

In the previous issues of BGN, some coordinators submitted various types of reports which were not designated as "Coordinator's Report" or placed in chapter "IV. Report from Coordinators." The report from a coordinator should be considered as a "coordinator's report" and at least mentioned in Chapter IV as shown in the following example.

The editors apologize that some earlier reports were not treated in the way shown above. At the same time the editors appreciate each author (reporter) writing to the editor to point out these mistakes. The editors have tried to make corrections in this matter in Chapter IX, Errata, of this volume.
