Inheritance:

Recessive to normal (14).

Description:

Spike internodes about 18% longer than normal.
Plants with dark-green leaves, curly awns, some florets sterile and thin, angular grain (13).

Origin of mutant:

1958 after soaked Bonus seed treated with ethyleneimine: 0.05% x 2 hours.

Mutational events:

lax-i²⁸, -i⁵⁰

Mutant used for description and seed stock:

lax-i⁵⁰ in Bonus.
