BGN 19: 6th International Barley Genetics Symposium

6th International Barley Genetics Symposium

The International Organizing Committee has asked the Nordic Countries to host the 6th International Barley Genetics Symposium (IBGS). A local organizing committee was established with representatives from all the five Nordic Countries. According to the preliminary plans the Symposium will be held from 22nd through 27th July 1991, with extensions for some business meetings and for possibilities to join pre- and postconference tours in the area. The place will be the town of Helsingborg in southern Sweden bordering Denmark, and easy accessibility from all major ports in southern Scandinavia. A first circular will be sent out during the fall of 1989 to all earlier participants of the IBGS.

The Symposium will be arranged in a similar way as earlier meetings. However, we will probably put somewhat more emphasis on poster sessions. The Symposium will also, like the previous ones, include workshops, business meetings, etc. If you would like to give comments at this stage or have ideas or suggestions about the organization and if you wish to obtain the first circular, please contact the local organizing committee.
