The autotetraploid barley stocks in the world collection are listed in Table 1. Also listed are characteristics of the autotetraploid and, when available, their respective parental diploids. The data presented are mean values. The letters a-h specify the number of years in which data were collected (a standing for eight years, b for seven years, etc.). Limited amounts of seed of the autotetraploid barleys are available at the Department of Plant Genetics in 8059 Grunbach 1 ub. Erding/Obb., in the Federal Republic of Germany and can be supplied upon request to the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. H. Gaul.
