FRONT COVER DIAGRAM - BARLEY KARYOTYPE
In 1950, Hagberg and Tjio showed the normal karyotype of barley studied
by a new technique - aceto-orcein staining of root tip cells after pretreatment
with oxyquinoline solution (Hagberg, A. and J. H. Tjio, 1950. Cytological
localization of the translocation point for the barley mutant erectoides.
Hereditas 36: 487-491).
